We are delighted to announce that Instrumentel has achieved 14001 in Environmental Management.
Sustainability is a prime topic across the world as a whole, and we have always been conscious of our impact on the environment and implemented changes to reduce this impact on our carbon footprint.
ISO44001 is a great way to be able to evidence this to our customers as well as bringing us in line with a commonly recognised standard.
Our dedication is also demonstrated through our new product offering of Eco Insight, a powerful tool to ensure our customers both internal and external can achieve their carbon reduction targets.
Instrumentel’s Dr Jonathan Birch said “To achieve the certification we held internal workshops working closely with the HSE team to complete a gap analysis between where we were and where we needed to be. To ensure all the right documentation is in place and that continuous sustainable improvement is both being carried out and documented in line with a common standard for all. Everyone has been enthusiastically behind this project and we are thrilled to have achieved it.”

ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system. It maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system.
Designed for any type of organization, regardless of its activity or sector, it can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
Instrumental being certified to ISO14001 means that they join Unipart Rail and Unipart Logistics, with other parts of Unipart on their own journeys.
